Formula One McLaren racing driver, Jenson Button, has been taking some well-deserved time off and enjoying scuba diving activities with model girlfriend, Jessica Michibata, in Hawaii recently after winning the Hungarian Grand Prix earlier this month.

Jenson Button has been taking some time out from Formula One racing and has been pictured soaking up the sunshine during his scuba diving holidays in Hawaii. After winning the Hungarian Grand Prix earlier this month, Button headed off to Hawaii with his model girlfriend Jessica Michibata for a relaxing short break.

The 31-year-old McLaren driver won his 200th race at the Hungarian Grand Prix and decided to celebrate the occasion by whisking his stunning girlfriend off to the Pacific Ocean holiday destination.

Button wrote on his Twitter page shortly after flying into Hawaii: “A wee bit of jet lag this morning here in Hawai’i but who cares when you have a view of the beautiful coastline and it’s 30 degrees!”

The racing driver and 26-year-old girlfriend were pictured scuba diving and soaking up the rays on the golden sand beaches. Jessica is a model for Japanese lingerie brand Peach John and appears on several Japanese TV shows.

Button tweeted during his Hawaiian holiday: “Beautiful view! @jessybondgirl: At one of my favourite beach [es]!”

Hawaii is one of the most well-known scuba diving destinations in the world and the Pacific Ocean is thriving with beautiful coral reefs and marine species.

The overseas U.S state is made up entirely of various tiny islands comprising volcanoes, palm-fringed sandy beaches, warm turquoise ocean waters, lush green forests and rolling hills plus a tropical climate.

Tourists from all over the world visit Hawaii for its world-famous surfing conditions, scuba diving excursions, laid-back and friendly lifestyle, delicious cuisine, and luxurious beachfront resorts and hotels.

The Papahanaumokuakea Marine National Monument is a protected marine park in Hawaii, covering 140,000-square-miles of ocean and islands. The area features beautiful coral reefs, lagoons and seamounts, plus an abundance of marine species including green sea turtles, dragon eels, Hawaiian monk seals, dolphins, humpback whales, Hawaiian Lionfish, Bandit Angelfish, Hawaiian Sergeants, manta rays, Hawaiian Squirrelfish, Hopper's Hermit Crabs and vibrant Red pencil urchins.

Popular scuba diving areas in Hawaii include the volcanic islet of Molokini with vertical wall diving; wreck diving to the sunken 65-foot long liner ship, St. Anthony which is teeming with green sea turtles; La Perouse Bay with a large lava rock pinnacle that attracts a variety of native fish; and Mauna Lani Caves / Haunted Cavern which are home to plenty of shallow water caves and beautiful coral.
