The BSAC will be holding a new scuba diving conference at the Big Scuba Show in London in 2011, offering a fresh format of the Diving Officer's Conference which has been held each year in December, as well as providing updates on diving developments.
The BSAC Diving Conference will be taking place at The Big Scuba Show in London next year and will be providing a refreshed format of the annual Diving Officer's Conference (DOC).
The new conference will share information on scuba diving developments and diving sites and celebrate achievements of British Sub Aqua Club (BSAC) members.
Conference Coordinator, Michelle Haywood, said: "With the launch of The Big Scuba Show and the opportunity to stage the conference at the fabulous Olympia venue, 2011 will see a revitalised BSAC Diving Conference.
"Based on the very best of the traditional DOC, the new conference will be a key forum for the decision-makers and instructors in our sport. It is a time to share opinions, information and viewpoints as well as celebrate the achievements of our fellow instructors."
The BSAC is the UK's leading diving club and provides internationally-recognised programmes and scuba diving training across the UK and abroad. The BSAC is run by certified divers and was established in 1953 and provides a network for professional divers or travellers who are looking to take scuba diving holidays.
Members can take part in scuba diving training courses of all levels, train to be PADI certified instructors, learn new skills and have access to a wealth of information about the developments of the scuba diving industry.
The BSAC's Diving Conference will be moving from its usual annual December slot to the Big Scuba Show at Kensington Olympia on 19th and 20th February 2011.
The Big Scuba Show is dedicated to the world of scuba diving and visitors will be able to talk to the experts, discover the latest scuba diving destinations and equipment, take part in interactive shows and presentations, and learn more about the popular sport.
The event is being organised by DIVE magazine and the BSAC will also be involved in the organisation of activities and events during the show.
BSAC's Chairwoman, Clare Peddie, commented: "BSAC is proud to welcome everyone to The Big Scuba Show. The new show provides fresh opportunities for fun and inventive activities relevant to all divers, their families and friends. It will be a groundbreaking event."
