Archaeologists and scuba diving experts believe to have found Lost Wreck of Columbus's Santa Maria

The exact whereabouts of the sunken vessel that took Christopher Columbus on his Caribbean travels has been a mystery for centuries but new findings from archaeological investigators show that the remains of the ship may lie on the ocean floor off the north coast of Haiti. Modern equipment and a team of scuba diving experts have found that the ship is highly likely to be the Santa Maria, the ship Columbus sailed from Spain's Atlantic coast in search of a new western route to Asia.

The Cayman Islands has revealed a brand new attraction for scuba diving enthusiasts to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Divetech. The 13-foot bronze sculpture of a mythological creature, half ancient warrior and half seahorse has been placed underwater about 50 feet off Grand Cayman's northwest coast and has been named Guardian of the Reef.

Larnaca's tourism board has announced the launch of Zenobia Week, a wreck diving promotional campaign that will take place in June this year. The tourism campaign will promote the Zenobia shipwreck and Cyprus as a destination for scuba diving activities, while holding events including underwater photography competitions and free trips to the wreck.
