What information do we collect and how do we use it?

When you submit a holiday enquiry to us by email, we ask you to provide us with some personal information such as your name, email address, street address, phone number as well as the names and ages of anyone travelling with you.

We use this information to accurately provide quotations, complete your booking or to contact you prior to completing your booking.

No credit card, or other sensitive, information is held on The Scuba Places’ or The Holiday Places’ database as we do not gather this kind of information through our website.

Do we share your information with other companies?

We will pass your name(s) on to airlines, hotels or resorts and our local representatives and partners in order to arrange and confirm your booking only. We do not share any further information with any other companies.

Email Addresses

If you have selected to receive our email newsletter, you will have submitted your name and email address. This information is held on our secure database. The information is not shared and you can remove yourself from the mailing list at any time. If you do not wish to receive these newsletters see our Opt Out policy described below.

Opt Out Policy

You can opt out of receiving our email newsletters by clicking on the unsubscribe link here or in any of the Newsletters and entering your email address. Your details will automatically be removed from the list.

At The Holiday Place and The Scuba Place, we are always developing new methods for improving our service to you – especially on our website. To help us to do this we use ‘Session Cookies’ to track movement around our site. (A cookie is a small text file that our site may send to your hard drive when you are on our site. It identifies that any actions you perform whilst on our site are performed by the same user). This use of cookies enables us to design the site in the best way for you to find what you are looking for as fast as possible. We do not attach personally identifiable information to this tracking which means that although we can see how our visitors have moved around the site, we do not know who is who.

Job Applications

There is a section of the website where you can apply for a job at The Holiday Place and The Scuba Place. We collect personal information such as name, address and contact information to contact applicants in relation to their job application. We also collect education and career history information in order to consider your suitability for any vacancies within the company. We do not share any of the above information.

Changes to our Privacy Policy

Any changes to our collection or use of information will be posted on this page. You will have a choice as to whether or not we use your information in this different manner. In addition, if we make any material changes in our privacy practices that do not affect user information already stored in our database, we will post a notice on this page. In some cases where we post the notice we will also email users, who have opted to receive communications from us, notifying them of the changes in our privacy practices.
