Travellers' scuba diving in Africa will have the chance to take part in the African Space Sardine Run Exhibition in June 2011 as part of a raffle taking place to raise funds for a much-needed African village medical centre in Kilemberovil.

Diving holiday organisers, African Space, have put forward a fantastic prize for travellers who enjoy scuba diving in Africa to help raise funds for an African medical centre in the village Itete in Kilemberovil.

The raffle prize will allow certified divers to win the chance to take part in the African Space Sardine Run Exhibition next June which will be based in the fishing village of Port St. John's.

The winner will enjoy the "incredible experience" involving the sardines spawn and journey along the coast with an array of marine life including sharks, dolphins, seals, and whales that all arrive ready for a feeding frenzy.

Divers must be BSAC, PADI Advanced Open Water Diver certified or the equivalent and can enter the competition by purchasing a raffle ticket at the African Space stand at the DIVE 2010 Exhibition which will be held at the NEC in Birmingham on 30th and 31st October, 2010.

The proceeds from the raffle will go towards the £50,000 needed to build a new medical centre in the village of Itete in the Kilombero Valley on South Africa's east coast.

The sardine run is one of the most amazing acts of nature which happen between May and June every year where millions of South African sardines spawn and travel north along the east coast with shoals 7km long and 1.5km wide.

Divers' scuba diving in Africa will be able to experience the incredible occurrence whilst exploring local diving sites and watching the hoards of great white sharks, humpback whales, fur seals, sand tiger sharks, and bronze whaler sharks drawn to their prey.

South Africa's spectacular coastline features an abundance of spectacular dive sites and a thriving underwater world with scuba diving safaris and excursions which lead diving enthusiasts into the marine ecosystem. The warm waters are home to beautiful coral reef and gardens, colourful fish, sea turtle, dolphins, sharks, manta rays and historic wrecks.
