Travellers planning scuba diving holidays in Hawaii will enjoy the sport in a different way, SNUBA offers a diving experience without the use of tanks or certification, instead by combining snorkelling and scuba diving with the help of a 20-foot hose.
The latest craze for travellers planning scuba diving holidays allows uncertified divers to discover the underwater world using a 20-foot-long hose and floating oxygen tanks.
SNUBA has become the latest water activity to hit Hawaii as declining sales and an increase in competition caused problems for the scuba diving industry.
The sport enables the diver to enjoy the experience underwater similar to that of an ordinary scuba diver but rather than carrying heavy tanks under the water, divers breathe through a 20-foot hose which is attached to oxygen tanks secured to a raft located floating on the surface of the water.
The new diving activity allows diver the freedom of exploring beautiful diving sites without having to worry about restrictions on when to fly home after scuba diving holidays or gaining PADI certification before plunging into the wonderful marine world.
Hawaii's pristine beaches and coastline attracts thousands of tourists each year and divers are drawn to the beautiful coral reefs surrounding the islands. Divers are advised to make sure that they don't touch or harm any of the wildlife during their diving activities.
SNUBA combines snorkelling and scuba diving and is now considered as the safest form of diving with over five million people having already enjoyed the fantastic new sport.
Because it requires no formal diving certification and people just need basic swimming skills, the sport is expected to attract more travellers who are keen to enjoy scuba diving in Hawaii but cannot afford PADI certification.
Hawaii offers an abundance of breathtaking sites and marine species including sea turtles, monk seals, dolphins, whales, manta rays, spotted eagle rays, flying fish, and hundreds of species of colourful tropical and reef fish.
SNUBA is available in various locations across Hawaii including The Big Island, Oahu, Kauai, and Maui, plus sites across the United States, and the Caribbean.
