Avalon Dive Centre, Cayo Largo del Sur

Situated no more than 10 minutes from any of the islands hotels, you will find the Avalon Dive Centre, right on its own jetty, and right next to the turtle sanctuary and bank.

A BSAC, SSI, ACUC and CMAS accredited dive centre, this dive centre is operated on behalf of the Cuban Government by the highly reputable Italian organisation, Avalon.

Full changing facilities, drying racks, rinse pool, showers and toilets are all on site, as well as secure kit storage facilities. Equipment hire is also available, and ScubaPro gear for over 20 divers is right there on site.

Most impressive is the 20 metre stroll along the path to the Marina, where the dive boats – big, purpose built dive boats capable of carrying up to 20 divers – await you – a simple step onto the deck, and the dive sites await you!

The dive centre will provide you with a packed lunch (from your hotel) on board, plentiful soft drinks and water, and all have a cabin and covered portion of the deck to protect you from the sun.

With over 50 logged dive sites – both local and further a field – you are somewhat spoilt for choice. 2 dives a day are offered here, and the off-shore reefs of Cayo Rosario and Cayo Blanco provide a longer days cruise and a third dive option. These two remote cayos offer stunning diving – unspoilt, and absolutely packed with marine life.
