Cubana de Aviacion

Cuba's national airline, established since 1929 as one of the first operating since the start of the era of commercial flights, Cubana de Aviacion currently operates flights from London Gatwick to the city of Holguin (Guardalavaca) in the East of Cuba, and then continues on to Havana before the direct overnight flight back to the UK.

Flights depart on Wednesdays from the UK, and on Tuesday evenings on the return leg back to the UK from Havana, arriving to London in the mid morning of the following Wednesday.

Cubana operates Airbus and Ilyushin aircraft – all of which meet the stringent CAA safety criteria.

Seat pitch and legroom is the most generous of all of the scheduled airlines, but in-flight entertainment is limited. Take a book!
Food and drinks are included, and for divers, we at The Holiday Place have negotiated a special scuba divers' allowance of 35kgs for checked in baggage. The maximum weight of any single bag must not exceed 30kgs, as per airport regulations. Hand baggage is additional to this checked in weight allowance.

Cubana operates an Economy cabin, and a Tropical Class cabin (business class) that offers more executive-style service, food choice and has large seats that recline to 60 degrees. Upgrading to Club Tropical is very reasonably priced, and for the overnight leg on the return journey, gives you that extra degree of comfort and space.
