Scuba Diving in Bahamas with Caribbean Reef Sharks

As the winter season kicks off, travellers will be heading off to enjoy scuba diving in the Bahamas where they will get the chance to swim with Caribbean reef sharks and discover an array of breathtaking diving sites.
Travellers looking to escape the plummeting temperatures and chaos caused by snow and ice across Europe and North America can look forward to scuba diving in the Bahamas where the waters are warm and clear and an array of thriving marine life waits to be discovered.
Travellers enjoying scuba diving holidays in the chain of Caribbean islands will have the chance to swim with Caribbean reef sharks with the Underwater Explorers Society (UNEXSO).
UNEXSO has been offering the chance to enjoy diving with sharks at Grand Bahama Island for over 20 years, with excursions to Shark Junction, a famous spot where schools of sharks can be found.
Certified and experience UNEXSO guides take divers 60 feet down under the ocean surface to the diving site where they can enjoy an up close and personal experience with dozens of Caribbean reef sharks. Travellers' scuba diving in Bahamas will learn about the nature of the species and experience feeding time as the experienced staff members interact with the magnificent creatures.
UNEXSO is based in Port Lucaya Marina in Grand Bahama and offers a range of experiences for scuba divers including wreck diving, shark diving and swimming with dolphins.
The dive company operates seven boats which take divers off on excursions across the islands in the area, and visitors can also learn more about the region's marine life at the Dive Museum based in Freeport.
The Bahamas is a country consisting of 29 islands in the Atlantic Ocean north of Cuba. Home to crystal clear waters, a tropical climate and white sandy palm-fringed beaches, The Bahamas is a popular destination for travellers from all over the world.
