Action Scuba Launches Discover Scuba Diving Tour in Montreal

Scuba diving fans in Montreal will have the chance to get some practice time for their scuba diving holidays abroad with a series of free introductory sessions available through Action Scuba’s 2011 Dive Anywhere Discover Scuba Diving tour, taking place this summer.

The five-star PADI Instructor Development Centre, Action Scuba, has launched a new tour which will enable Montreal residents to try out the sport at their local swimming pools throughout July and August.

The tour is being organised with community pool managers and will involve instructors and divemasters from the Pointe Claire-based Action Scuba who will arrive at each pool with scuba diving equipment ready to teach people the basics of the underwater sport. The instructors will first give participants an overview of the basic scuba diving theory and they will then take small groups into the water for some practical diving experience and fun underwater games.

The Discover Scuba Diving sessions have been designed to give people the chance to learn the basic skills so that they can then decide if they want to learn more in Action Scuba’s Open Water certification programme which will enable them to enjoy scuba diving abroad and in their home waters.

Owner of Action Scuba and a PADI Master Instructor, Gary Davis, explained: “At Action Scuba we’re passionate about scuba diving and there is nothing more rewarding than seeing the enjoyment on a new student’s face when they first learn to breathe underwater with our help.

“We are running these sessions because we want more people to discover the wonders of this safe and enjoyable sport, and would be thrilled if someday they became new diving buddies for us to blow bubbles with. We are also deeply committed to the environment, and we hope that by sharing this experience with the community we can give people a new way to appreciate all of the underwater life our planet has to offer.”

Action Scuba’s tour of Discover Scuba Diving event start at Senneville and Beacon Hill (Beaconsfield) pools in early July.
