Win a scuba diving holiday in the Pacific as PADI launches "Kids Sea Camp" contest

Parents and children are being invited to take part in a new competition launched by the Professional Association of Diving Instructors (PADI) which will help families obtain diving certifications while bonding underwater.

The "Kids Sea Camp" competition allows parents and children to bond during diving activities and certification which can then used to enjoy during scuba diving holidays across the world.

Parents and children who obtain their PADI Open Water Diver and Junior Open Water Diver Certificates during the promotion of the competition will have the chance to nominate themselves for the chance to win an incredible scuba diving trip to the Kids Sea Camp Family Dive Adventure in Palau.

To enter the competition all parents have to do is share a photo that captures their PADI Open Water Diver class, certification card, or PADI eCard, and the most creative image will win.

Entries must be submitted by 20th November 2012 and the winning parent and child will go on to enjoy their week-long scuba diving holidays in the South Pacific, at the Kids Sea Camp in Palau from 28th June to 6th July, 2013.

The winners will receive accommodation, food, on-site scuba diving and extras including special PADI courses, snorkelling and learning programs.

Palau is one of the world’s leading scuba diving destinations and the winning family duo will have the chance to explore beautiful coral reefs, blue holes, ship wrecks, sunken airplanes, hidden caves and tunnels, and an array of coral, fish and marine creatures, such as giant clams and a lake full of millions of stingless jellyfish.

"Scuba diving is an activity that individuals can enjoy for a lifetime, and offers a truly unique and memorable vacation experience for families," explained Kristin Valette, the Vice President of Marketing and Communications for PADI Americas.

PADI was established more than 40 years ago and it now has over 133,500 PADI professionals, 6,000 dive shops and resorts and several facilities for education, environmental conservation, equipment and experiences across the world.

As well as training divers to be instructors, PADI provides scuba diving lessons for all ages and all levels from open water diving to advanced certification, techniques and search and rescue.

The association operates thousands of dive centres across the world where travellers can enjoy charter tours and scuba diving adventures in exotic locations such as the Caribbean, the USA, Africa, Asia and Europe.
