A new and exciting novel by popular diver and scuba diving author Paul Mila has just been released to the delight of his fans. The new adventure will see the fictional heroes that readers are already familiar with embarking on a new adventure while scuba diving in Mexico, this time in the beautiful and blessed island of Cozumel, an already popular diving destination for many travellers planning scuba diving holidays in the Caribbean.
Enthusiastic divers and avid readers interested on plots developing on the underwater world, will have another fascinating novel to captivate them this year after highly acclaimed scuba diving author, Paul Mila, releases what will be his fourth novel “Near Miss”, which is now available on Amazon and via milabooks.com.
Filled with plenty of aquatic action, intrigue and suspense, the new novel sees the return of the author’s popular characters, a diving couple who are husband and wife and which will be surrounded by a cast of unforgettable tropical characters in a completely new diving adventure.
According to the plot of Near Miss, Joe and Terry Manetta, the book series’ popular main characters, will be immersed in yet another enveloping drama during their scuba diving holidays in the Caribbean.
Talking about where the author drew inspiration for his latest book from, Mila explained: “Spending so much time in tropical latitudes, I’ve been fortunate to meet an array of colourful characters with intriguing backgrounds—fertile ground for a novelist. So of course, several new friends and local amigos have found their way into this story.”
The new novel takes place in the azure waters of the blessed Mexican island of Cozumel, a paradisiacal Caribben islet famous for its amazing and spectacular scuba diving sites.
In Near Miss, the story begins when displaced international consultant Dayle Standish makes way for the Caribbean after losing a battle involving corporate intrigue and blackmail. While scuba diving in Cozumel’s crystalline waters, he photographs a mysterious encounter inside a deep underwater cave. Soon after, an assassin working for a foreign intelligence service starts targeting Cozumel dive operator Terry Manetta’s customers. But Dayle is determined not to become the next victim, keeping one step ahead of a relentless killer pursuing her across the Atlantic and back to the Mexican Caribbean.
The author of the popular scuba diving books now devotes his time to writing after hanging his corporate suit, trading it for a wetsuit and scuba diving around the world, taking up underwater photography and talking to groups about the pressing need for protecting the ocean and underwater conservation. Nowadays several of Mila’s publications, including books, videos and underwater photographs are now featured on numerous diving websites and on National Geographic Television.
After a successful trilogy with novels that included Dangerous Waters, Whale Angels and Fireworks, Paul’s fourth book is sure to delight his diving fans.
