Cafes, bars and restaurants are in abundance, and are perfect places to soak up the atmosphere – salsa dancing in the street, music coming at you from all angles, and people with the biggest smiles on their faces that you will ever see are everywhere.

From cheap cafes to the cosmopolitan private restaurants serving gourmet food, your appetite will not be left wanting, and after a good meal, it is time to visit the Tropicana or Hemingways, two of Havana's most famous addresses. Then onto a salsa-club?! Or wander around Havana Old Town – a beautiful area with historic building, cobbled streets and a real atmosphere.

Don't think it is all city though – the hotels have excellent pools, and several have small beaches too, so you don't have to rush around in traffic, just because you are in a capital city!

Speaking of traffic, take your camera wherever you go – the 1950's cars and buses have become perhaps the most commonly identified signs that you are in Cuba, and it has become a national past-time to restore and parade these wonderful vehicles in the public squares. Another ‘must-see'!
